blog crush: a vintage splendor

Today Annette Vartanian from A Vintage Splendor wrote a lovely plug for my shop! I discovered her through the Instagram feed of another blogger crush last week, Kelly Golightly. After scrolling through a few of Annette’s posts on vintage fashion, mod home decor, and stylish entertaining, I knew we could be virtual buddies. I wrote her an e-mail introducing her to Finely Crafted, and wham-o, she sweetly agreed to feature me!

Splendor is now required reading for me, and here’s why:

  • Annette gives budget-friendly dressing advice I relate to, like reimagining the neglected staples you already have in your closet. Thanks to this post, I’m getting back together with my colored tights for Christmas!
  • She seems to prefer surfing Etsy for fabulous furniture over a night of clubbing, just like me! While describing the minute details of a mirrored credenza, she confesses, “Yes, this is my porn.” I concur!
  • A native Angeleno, Annette always has delicious western plants and architecture in her backdrops. When I look at those photos, I feel like I’m in SoCal, and I can almost taste the salty, 72-degree air. Sigh.
I'll take the outfit and the architecture, thanks!

Annette's vintage style runs the gamut from glamorous 1950s to relaxed 1970s.

I’m visiting LA in Feb. and can’t wait to see the list of vintage shopping destinations Annette is preparing for me now! Maybe we can even meet in person for a cocktail or styling session!
